Carolyn J. Drew Joins Development and Alumni Relations

In her new role as associate dean and associate vice president for development and alumni relations at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS), Carolyn J. Drew leads the development and alumni relations teams to advance the education, clinical, and research missions of the school.

Drew is also responsible for setting the strategic direction of development initiatives in collaboration with clinical partners, overseeing principal gift fundraising for priority areas, establishing innovative programs to engage prospects, enhancing grateful patient programs, and optimizing volunteers and development councils. She most recently served as a development consultant for SMHS and has deep industry experience, having led development initiatives at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Stanford Medicine, the University of Cambridge, Yale University, and Harvard Medical School.
